Where lies the Answer?
In a book by Prof. C.A. Totten of Yale answers Rimmer. While Harold Hill, President of Curtis Engine Company and a Consultant in Space program regales with a story of how astronauts and space scientists were checking the position of the sun, moon and planets out in space and while running the computer measurements, the computer stopped and put up a red signal which meant something was wrong either with the information fed into the computer or with the results.
So, what was wrong? Answer:
There is a missing day in space in elapsed time. To explain this, a man on the team then told the biblical story of the sun standing still. From that story, the missing day had been found. But it was not a whole day as 40 minutes could not be accounted for. The same man it was said went on to remember the story of King Hezekiah on his death bed requesting of the prophet to make the shadow return backwards by 10 degrees which is exactly 40 minutes. The 23hrs 20 min in the first story and the 40 minutes in the second story make the missing day in the universe.
What’s the Real Story?
This citation of proof of the calculation has been expectedly dismissed by scholars and debunked. And humans and Scientists continue to wonder at the legend of the missing day in the universe’s history. NASA though confirming Harold Hills is a real person, has stated that he had no real connection to NASA and was not a consultant in the space program and did not witness the events described. NASA’s Public Affairs Office has gone on to state the center does not know of the use of its computers for such (snopes.com). So, what is the real story?
The Unending List of The World’s Wonders
It would be interesting to add to the unending list of increasing wonders: many cells make up a tissue, many tissues make up an organ, many organs make up a system and many systems make up ‘the man’. Oh! What wonderful workmanship amazing to think about – a sperm and an egg coming together to form a baby that grows up into a man or woman. Over 6 billion humans made in over 6 billion ways. No two individuals of this 6 billion not even two identical twins are alike – their fingerprints, genetic codes, chromosomes combinations are all distinct and unique, custom-designed, masterpieces and one of a kind. Never in the history of mankind has there been any human exactly like the other. Also, of several billion that ever lived, none has had a heartbeat-like the other. No human can get lost amid every other human.
The Heart Wonder
The heart out of about 33 organs in the body generally functions between 70 and 120 years without maintenance or replacement. It beats 100, 000 times a day. It pumps two thousand gallons of blood around the body through a vascular system long enough to wrap around the earth two times-over 60, 000 miles. The heart is a powerful organ and tireless engine sitting inside each human, and, generating 5,000 times more energy than the brain of 10billion cells. It has its nervous system called the ‘heart brain’ with more than 40, 000 nerve cells. Do you know the heart is capable of breathing without connecting to the brain? Yet this is still minor compared to other wonders beyond the human imagination.
Who can understand these Mysteries?
The infusion of the human spirit into a baby while still in its mother’s womb is a mystery of immense proportion. Who has prepared and done all these – the twenty-four hours lost out of solar time; the mystery of human and the human body? Science, in final testimony, has stated such a day has left its record for all time. As long as time shall be, the record of this day must remain (creation.com). So, is it established that there is a power greater than human comprehension?
